There are several options with the jewelry classes. All classes include most materials. Students wanting to work with precious stones, gold, and larger silver projects will need more funds. Each finished project will be worth the cost of the class. We make a lot of beautiful jewelry pieces. Warning, these types of classes are habit forming and one could result in a lifetime cycle of spending money for tools and materials.

Silversmithing $90.00 per project

Most students want to learn a jewelry making favorite called silversmithing. This involves designing and cutting and soldering pre-fabricated materials to complete a project. This class requires about two hours to complete. By repeating this class with other projects you could learn more of the many variations available to a silversmithing artist.

Casting (Three sessions) $250.00

There are several methods of casting. Some can be done in a class but the favorite, lost wax takes more than one class to complete.

Glass fusing $150.00

This is a two-session class. We will look at some of the many options of slumping, and fusing glass jewelry. Additional funding may be required to accommodate luxurious tastes. Since it is not any fun to watch a kiln cool, a third trip to the studio would let you pick up your finishes projects.

Lapidary $70.00

This is a two-hour class that will give you the basics of cutting and polishing semi precious stones into cabochons. The finished project called a cabochon, referred to as a cab, is ready to mount in a silversmithing class. An optional field trip may be available to collect stones when the weather permits.

Combined Classes $550.00

By grouping some of the classes into six two-hour classes, we can give you a better understanding of how the many different areas relate.

Studio Time $15.00 per hr.

Many trained students want a place to work. You will provide your own materials and have access to our tools and equipment. An instructor is present for consulting or advice.
